The community had a lot to learn from Agilan.

Special Implementation Task Force of the Cabinet committee on the Indian community (SITF) manager G.K. Anandan said the community had a lot to learn from Agilan.

“Brought up by a single father, Agilan was purportedly bullied, extorted during his younger days, considering the fact that he was plump, chubby and probably vulnerable,” he said, adding that the youth then took up martial arts and self defence.

“At the age of adolescence, he saw his worst. By 21, he is seeing his best, although the best is yet to come.

“Agilan could have flipped, and gone to the bad side of Sentul. He did not,” Anandan wrote on Facebook.
