World Economic Forum on ASEAN

I was invited to be as a  panelist at the World Economic Forum on ASEAN earlier today. The topic was Universal HealthCare (UHC) for #ASEAN : When and at What Cost.  It was indeed  an intellectual discourse with my fellow panelist, Ms Yasukawa  United Nation Population Fund, Mr Smith #Novartis Asia Pacific , Van Kuijen Senior VP #RoyalPhilips and moderated by Ms Julian Chan Assc Prof Nanyang Technological University Singapore. I spoke on the need to have the ASEAN  Drug Harmonisation Iniatives which will have the common database on drug registration. I also reitrated on the need for ASEAN nations to  focus on preventions and promotion of health. One such iniative that Malaysia embarked is the KOSPEN. I shared the Ministry of  Malaysia's  experiences in  empowering the local  community leaders on the health awareness through Kospen Initiative.             .           🔘Datuk Seri Dr S.Subramaniam
