Kuala Lumpur – 3 of MIFA’s players are currently under investigation on allegations of match fixing by MACC (SPRM).
President of MIFA, Datuk T. Mohan stated that MIFA has never wavered from maintaining the highest standard of integrity and transparency in its management of its team.
MIFA’s commitment towards sports and in particular football were and will always be consistent to the best practices of sports in Malaysia.
According to Mohan, MIFA came to know of the possibility of some of our players being influenced by external forces to determine the outcome of matches.
“MIFA then appointed an independant committee to investigate these allegations and the findings of the committee was reported to the authorities concerned for further investigations.”
“In upholding principles of the law and practices, MIFA will not interfere in this investigation and assist the authorities in the best possible way to obtain justice.”
Mohan stressed that, MIFA does not condone any practices of match manipulation by anyone under the patronage of MIFA which goes against the rule of integrity and transparency.
